Set in the middle of an open meadow and backdropped by the Grand Tetons, the Shooting Star House strikes a perfect balance between rusticity and elegance.
In cadence with the surrounding Wyoming landscape, the 7,500 square-foot home’s exterior walls and beams were constructed with reclaimed wood, brick, and regional stone veneer. The interior welcomes you into a mix of Western ruggedness and Italian countryside. Expansive windows provide breathtaking views of the Tetons, and of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
Water Features
Arguably the most stunning characteristic of the Shooting Star House is the water feature. Designed by Verdone Landscape Architects, the water feature includes “floating” steppingstones, wooden spillways, and provincial wetland planting beds. Because the water is perpetually in contact with the foundation of the home, extreme forethought and planning were required to ensure impermeability. The final result is a true testament to our Signature way.
The interior welcomes you into a mix of Western ruggedness and Italian countryside, while expansive windows provide breathtaking views of the Tetons.
The Golden Touch
The waterfall-style kitchen island countertop was done in Jerusalem Gold Limestone —a warm-colored stone that works well with the luxuriance of the home.
